Week of Dec 3 - 9 Dec, 2007

1. My computer has resurrected finally...
After freezing for almost 3 weeks, my laptop has finally waken up. Will have tons of stuffs to load up to it...

2. Team lunch @ Amber - 7 Dec, 07
Finally, we went to Amber to have our team lunch on Fri.
   Food: International (Set lunch)
    Price: $370 + 10% (2 courses)
   Addr: Landmark, Mandarin Oriental

The food is yum and the place is nice. But after I had finished my dessert (pear soaked in red wine), I was a bit drunk (and so was Crystal). Amber is really nice, and i will certainly go there again.

3. Walking Muimui to the peak - 2007 - 8 Dec, 07
After we gained experience last year, we'd got a better preparation this time. I brought a bag that stored newspapers, tissue papers, bottles of water and a piece of cloth, all the neccessities for walking Muimui. Muimui was again showing her supreme energy throughout the journey. Everytime she met other dogs, she would go up and greet them (that means to smell the other dogs' ass...) After we'd reached the Peak, we stayed at Starbucks for just a while as it's too windy and cold there. We ended up got back home at about 6pm. How Tiring!!!

Oct 22, 2007 - Philips TV earphone

Finally, I've bought a Philips TV earphone last Saturday that I can enjoy my "Friends" episodes at night without disturbing my mum. I thought it would have cost me at least HK$300. But you know what, I only spent one hundred dollars. It's by Philips, looks very decent and reliable.

Over the three-day holidays, I really didn't do "anything". In my book, "anything" means something which is value-adding, meaningful or educational. It might be reading the research reports, consolidating recent news around the business world, or studying. I felt a bit guilty on Sunday night as in I hadn't spent anytime on my work. In the wake of that, though, I realized I should have spent my weekends (clarify: some of my weekends) like that. I don't know....

Oh my god, I suddenly realized that my writing is really fucking boring. It should be the reason why people don't drop me any comments....>.<

PS: Highlights in the holidays:
Friday night: I had been looking at a TV for more than a hour, seeing the most boring TV program in the world. Terribly, there are tens of people looking at it at the same time around me. What is it?
Answer: the TV at the HK Airport's arrival hall.
Saturday night: Enjoyable night - thanks for giving me those unforgettable moments - including the fight in Times Square...haha
Sunday night: I lost my temper while teaching my mum piano...(deep sigh...)

Hospital - Sep 10, 2007

Today afternoon, my mum called me crying, telling me that my grandma was in serious condition and would.....I left my office and rushed to QM right away, with my wallet, cellphone and company pass only. When I arrived, she looked very weak, and her heart beat is very weak as well. As i know, she refused to eat and even drink anything in these few days. And some of her organs are getting worse that she can't have the surgury being carried out. Actually, we don't want her to suffer, my mum and uncles/aunts agreed not to have CPR done on her if her condition gets very bad. I agree, if it is to make her suffer, we better let her go....

I have not been to hospital for almost 2 years, after I went in and out there every day 2 years ago. I hate hospitals. Precisely, I'm scared of it, I'm really scared of it...It's the only place that I'd have the feeling of "scared" in the world at the moment. It's weird, but I think it's the way that people are truly scared of something in their lives...

MJ game - 8 Sep 2007

Yesterday's MJ game was really big fun. As expected, I was the ultimate winner, I beat all the veterans there...hahaha. To reiterate, I won because of my skill, but not good luck, hahaha. But I admit, alcohol makes me play sharp, so if you guys don't wanna lose, don't give me alcohol next time...hahahah

wanna post the result here...but i forgot the figures, hahaha (Gong, pls send me the data)

Anyway, it was big fun!

Back to work - Aug 27, 2007

Aug 16-20: 迷失東京
Japan - I have never been disappointed by this country, from the perspective of travelling. These 5 days was really fun. I was really intrigued by all of the shops there, I spent almost 80% of my time on shopping, undeterred by the damn hot weather of about 35C, maybe 37C.

Amongst all, I like 涉谷 the most. What I like is all the core shopping malls are put together, I can easily hover at the shops. In those 5 days, I did go to many places actually - 新宿, 上野, 築地, 淺草, 台場, 新橋, 原宿, 涉谷, 惠比壽, 六本木, 東京站, I like them all. I really miss Tokyo!

Aug 21-24: Back to office
These 4 days were hard. I think I had had "jet lag"....heehee. I was told by my Indian boss that I missed to see the roller-coaster market when I was in Japan. Actually, I did notice something about the market when I was in the Narita Airport. I saw some japanese on the airport display, saying the BoJ injected Yen 1 trillion into the system. And I realized that the Fed surprisingly lowered the discount rate when I read the newspaper in the plane, what a big move by the Fed! And what had surprised me most is that Yen had gone up to ~112 at the time of my trip....WTF. Fortunately, I have done some hedging, or I would have to pay for some very expensive yen....

After I came back, I started to think about my career which I had not thought for some time. What I can be sure to say is that it is not, fairly absolutely, a right time to change job. I still have to earn experience and knowledge there. I reckon it is a good place for me to grow, precisely in both the equities and fixed incomes sides. What I have to do is to do some more extra readings that other people won't.

Aug 24: Karen's bday
WTF, as I expected, gay zhi told me he would not go in the very last minute, OKAY! When I got there, I expected not to find some familiar faces. But I really don't mind, I like to chic-chat with new friends. And Karen and her high sch fd did talk to me and "take special care" of me. Here, let me give you guys my regards.

I finally found my company when Gong arrived. I kept talking to her and it was nice. She told me that she will take me to wave party!! (Hey, don't forget, you have promised) After that, we went to sing K overnight. But eventually, I played Wii most of the time. Don't know why, I didn't have much motivation to sing that night despite I love singing so much....At last, I went to Jordon before I went back home. You know what, Jordon in the morning is beautiful. And the old women there like to talk to themselves!
